The Russian composer Nikita Koshkin (born 1956) is a major figure in the modern classical guitar world, both as a highly accomplished performer and a prolific composer of works. His writing draws from a vast bedrock of influences - from Stravinsky and Prokofiev to rock music. The PGS dedicates this concert to him in recognition of his enormous contribution to the repertoire, and will feature a small, yet diverse, selection of his works.
