Young Musician of the Year 2018: Kabir Dabholkar

An NCPA & The Olga & Jules Craen Foundation Presentation
Kabir Dabholkar is the Young Musician of the Year 2018 (YMOY), selected annually by an international jury for The Olga & Jules Craen Foundation (OJCF). He has studied with Konarak Reddy, Mohan Krishnan, and Muthu Prathap and attended masterclasses with Raphael Bereau, Roland Dyens, David Russell, Gerard Abiton and Johannes Moller. Under the aegis of the OJCF at Festival MusicAlp, in Tignes, France, he studied with Judicael Perroy, Xavier Jara and Natalia Lipnitskaya. The programme includes works by Sor, Mertz, Koshkin, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Villa-Lobos, and Lauro. Kabir will also be accompanied by flautist Shirish Malhotra, who was the Olga & Jules Craen Foundation’s Young Musician of the Year 2015. There will be a brief performance by the incoming YMOY–2019, pianist, Anuvrat Choudhary, and violinist, R. Samyuktha.
