NEW BRAZILIAN MUSIC INDIA TOUR | 2-6 MAY 2017

NEW BRAZILIAN MUSIC INDIA TOUR | 2-6 MAY 2017

Recalling Roots presents New Brazilian Music Featuring DANIEL MARQUE and MARK ALBAN LOTZ – Energetic acoustic Guitar/Flute duo – Music with a surprising edge.

Mark Lotz meets Daniel Marques in a combination of Brazilian music and Jazz. They will present their solo work and as duo. Their music is at the edge of Jazz and energetic Brazilian music rooted in the tradition (chorro, Samba, Bossa-nova and Brazilian Jazz etc.) but heading to new directions. The 7 strings guitar and the family of flutes both have a huge range in octaves and sonic. Together they produce a sound that hovers between warm and woody and crispy metallic. Urban jazz life, dynamics of Rio’s inner city life, vocal eruptions and jungle sounds, this duo does it all.

With the rise of instantaneous methods of communication and social networking, it is even more imperative to realize the importance of cross-cultural communication in our everyday life and work. We wish to create a space for cross cultural communication, resulting in an ability to create and cultivate relationships with individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Through this tour we wish to foster respect, understanding & awareness about different cultures thus developing multi-culture sensitivity and global mindset.
