Talentinum 2020 – Apply Today!
The XXV International Festival of Young Concert Artists
The International Music Festival of Young Concert Artists “Talentinum” is a non-competitive show of gifted concert soloists and conductors. It has been organized since 1972 in the form of a biennial, and at regular two-year intervals, the cultural life of the city of Zlín and the local Philharmonic also enriches. Primarily, this company aims to help talented performers and conductors in the beginning of their professional artistic career – giving them the opportunity to present themselves on one stage together with a large symphonic ensemble, namely the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra. Debashish Chaudhuri was named the artistic head/conductor for Talentinum 2020.
The coming year, again in the twenty-fifth, will again offer young artists the opportunity to perform with the Zlín Symphony Orchestra during subscription concerts held in April and May 2020. The productions mentioned will be reflected not only in the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Programming Program, but also in significant Czech musical periodicals.
The Talentinum Festival is designed for performers from the field of “serious” and non-artificial music. The festival invites young artists up to the age of 25 (conductors up to the age of 30) to apply. Out of all applications, 6 musicians (from all instruments) and 2 conductors will be selected. All travel costs will be sponsored and there is no application fee.
The application must include a solo artist profile, a program design and a sound recording.
