A theoretical physicist of complex systems, Anita Mehta is also a writer and musician. She holds ATCL, LTCL and LRSM diplomas in pianoforte performance and has performed extensively with the Cambridge University Musical Society. She has been the Western classical music critic for The Telegraph, The Statesman, The Hindustan Times and The Asian Age and has also conducted courses of western classical music appreciation at the Goethe Institute, Seagull Arts and Media Centre, Calcutta School of Music, and the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Calcutta.
