The Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI), based at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai, is India’s first and only professional orchestra having performed a range of musical events ever since its inception in 2006. Not only has the SOI worked with renowned conductors as Martyn Brabbins, Carlo Rizzi, Augustin Dumay amongst many others, they have also performed at various international centres as the Hall of Columns, Moscow, the Royal Opera House, Muscat and the Emirates Palace Auditorium, Abu Dhabi amongst other tours.
Within Mumbai, the SOI Chamber Orchestra has delivered several successful events and after nearly two months since its last event in December, they are delighted to rehearse and perform for their enthusiastic patrons.
