Pianist Marouan Benabdallah Tours India

“I am most happy to be in India again. This is my 10th visit to this incredible country! In the past 9 years since my first visit, I have performed in almost all major cities and even in smaller ones, and it is always with great anticipation that I come. I have encountered the most unexpected circumstances, but also, some of the most attentive and music loving audiences! Except the first 2 concerts with the great Hungarian violinist Kristóf Baráti (it almost sounds like an Indian name!), I am playing solo recitals with a varied program where well-known and lesser, or even unknown works will be presented. There are some pieces that the public never gets tired of, but I always try to have them discover something new. This time, besides works of Debussy (Clair de lune, Estampes), Brahms (Handel Variations op.24), Liszt (Consolation and La Campanella) and Bartok (Suite op.14), it is some of the finest classical composers from the Arab world that I am bringing to the Indian audience! I am sure they will enjoy them!” Marouan Benabdallah
