Experience #WeekendsAtKNMA, a cultural crossroad of Art and Performance

Enhancing the already expansive range of events on offer, the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art brings you #WeekendsAtKNMA. On offer, the opportunity for audiences to immerse themselves in all kinds of art and activity. As part of this initiative, new and extensive programming has been planned to celebrate art and culture. Through this, the museum aims to expand its reach and tap into new and diverse audiences. Furnishing a platform for professional and semi professional artists through a series of events and activities, KNMA is seeking to build on its mission to grow a museum-going culture and encourage viewers to explore different aspects of art, at the crossroads of culture and performance.

These events include a ballet recital by Nikolina Nikoleski Dance Academy, Dhrupad concert with renowned vocalist Pelva Naik accompanied by Pt. Sanjay Agle, performances by Indie artists including Alvin Presley, Mahesh Ragunandan and Siddharth Bendi, and now a concert by the Capital City Minstrels (CCM).

Performing after a two year break, due to Covid restrictions, this will be CCM’s first comeback performance in the city.

Dressed in art inspired Janavi scarves, a small ensemble will take centre stage at the Sound of Art event as part of #WeekendsAtKNMA. They will be performing crowd pleasers such as Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love with you’, and Ben King’s ‘Stand By Me’. The evening will begin with a gospel piece ‘Rooh Aa’, performed in a unique Sufi inspired style. The choral arrangement for this piece has been specially composed by CCM’s current conductor, Sharmila B. Livingston.

Enjoy choral music while surrounded by some of the most magnificent art in India. This concert will take place on Sunday, 5th June 2022 from 4pm onwards.


This program is free, no registration is required. Seating will be on a first come first serve basis. All Covid protocols will be followed.
