Rajkot, the small but historic city, with strong associations with Mahatma Gandhi’s boyhood, has a significant Trinity presence. It was our first port of call in Gujarat, and an experience to remember- not only were the city’s teachers in attendance, but we saw music educators from Bhavnagar and Jamnagar present too. A truly encouraging feeling for us to know that they took the trouble to participate, taking the time out to travel to be with us. And also memorable was the unique Gujarati thali at lunch, traditional flavours to savour!
Bustling metro Ahmedabad came next on our itinerary and the attendance numbers, though not surprising, given the city’s long time Trinity association, was nevertheless most welcome. The questions came thick and fast, but just as we paused for a breather, the comment, “If you could have conducted this meeting in Hindi, it would have benefited all”, came as a reminder of our multilingual Indian society, and perhaps a point to ponder!
Diamond city Surat brought some sparkling bling to the meet, in a glittering venue. Vibrant is the word for this meet, and a new feature was the felicitation ceremony organised by the city’s go-getting rep, recognising Trinity educators and learners – old and new! A great gesture to motivate and encourage.
The final stop in this section of the tour was Goa, where fun, sun, sea, beaches— and, of course, music, reign supreme! Being Goa, the interactive rhythmic session at the end left us full of energy and anticipation for our next journey. Thank you, Goa! Keep those vibes going!
