# Interactive Forum around Voice Pedagogy

The French ensemble Akadêmia, who produced a voice contest – [Voices of India](https://serenademagazine.com/news/voices-of-india/) – in 2018 with the support of Institut français, Région Grand-Est, Bharat Forge, Godrej, Credit Agricole CIB and NCPA, organizes a meeting for young voices teachers.

#### Topics of discussion

**Workshop 1:** Understanding of the vocal apparatus (physiology of the spoken and sung voice, morphology and function, voice health, facilitator exercises and educational tools).

**Workshop 2:** Technique and Repertoire (questions about repertoire, pooling about pedagogical tools, improving technique, musical work, style notions). Practical exercices with students

**Workshop 3:** Applied Pedagogy (sessions of 15-20mn: a voluntary teacher gives a lesson, then exchange of pedagogical tools with the audience).

**Workshop 4:** Harmonic and Intervallic Ear Training, Rhythm Training

**Workshop 5:** Analysis prior Singing, Improvisation on chords, Sight-reading within the polyphony.

**Laurence Krug-Jegoux, music theory teacher in Reims Conservatory**

Born on March 2, 1969, Laurence studied Cello and Musical Theory Pedagogy. She obtained her Certificate of Aptitude of professor of Musical Theory (the highest diploma in France for a teacher) in 1990\. Regularly invited as a jury in many high music schools, she is particularly involved in research about teaching musical theory to singers. She is the author of pedagogical books published by Combre « Rhythm through children’s songs » and « Rhythm through the music ».

**Marie-Anne Losco, singing teacher at the Académie Rainier III (Monaco)**

Bachelor degree of German language and literature, Marie-Anne was trained as a singer in Nancy and Strasbourg (Atelier lyrique du Rhin) before studying in Munich and London. After many concerts, she almost only dedicated to teaching. She has trained many singers who are now in career at the highest international level.

Her teaching mission lead her to collaborate with various French conservatories in the framework of educational exchange but also as a jury in the undergraduate exams. She is also called as occasional trainer for pedagogical training of students preparing the diploma of professor of singing.

In association with the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, she coordinates a professional training for the artists of choirs since 2017.

Currently, she collaborates with singer Eva Lind to develop exchanges between the Académie Rainier III in Monaco and the Musikakademie Tirol in Austria, where she is invited to give a masterclass on the French repertoire in 2020.
