Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil de Lisboa String Quartet

Fundação Oriente and Child’s Play India Foundation are delighted to present the Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil de Lisboa String Quartet.

The String Quartet is composed by young Portuguese music graduates with high artistic potential and extensive professional experience. They are particularly dedicated to educational activities that can bring classical music to a young audience and those who have had fewer opportunities to benefit from this art form.

The programme will feature works by Dvorak (American String Quartet), Mozart (Two Divertimenti – No.1 in D Major and No.3 in F Major) and the Portuguese composers Vianna da Motta (String Quartet No.2 ‘Scenes in the Mountains’) and Joly Braga-Santos (III Mov of String Quartet No.2).

David Brito (viola), Luís Filipe Guimarães (violin), Pedro Serra e Silva (cello) and Rui Mendes Cristão (violin).

All proceeds from the concert go towards the work of Child’s Play India Foundation.
