‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ with the Capital City Minstrels
May 6, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pmTicketed
Delhi’s premier choir, the Capital City Minstrels, are all set to entertain music lovers in Delhi and Gurgaon on May 3rd, 5th and 6th with a pop, rock and world music repertoire. These upcoming shows will have an audience of all ages clapping, singing and swaying! Spanning several decades and featuring some of the biggest hits, these are songs that are not just popular with music fans, but also include some of CCM’s favourite songs over the years. The programme includes “Sweet Dreams”, arguably the signature song of the 80’s duo, Eurythmics, the wildly popular “It’s Raining Men” by the Weather Girls, the chart topping 80s hit “Africa” by Toto, contemporary award winning numbers like “Royals” by Lorde, “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic; A.R Rahman’s “Jai Ho” and of course the song that lends the concert its title – “Can’t Help Falling in Love”! CCM’s conductor since 2012, Carolin Remy, will lead the choir in her last set of concerts as she returns to Germany with her family this summer. The group will also be accompanied by Nise Meruno on piano, Suchet Malhotra on percussion, Martine Ketterl on recorder, and Jimmy Thang and Hannes Farrenkopf on guitar.
